Welcome to Bob Huckfeldt's Home Page.
I am a faculty member in the Department of Political Science at the University of California at Davis. My teaching and research interests lie in the areas of electoral politics, urban politics, political participation, political communication, and public opinion. I am particularly concerned with the networks and contexts that connect individual citizens to one another, to politically relevant groups, and to the communities where they live. My research focuses on the political implications of these networks and contexts for political engagement and participation, political expertise, civic capacity, political preferences and opinions, and for the choices that citizens make.
